Malaysia is a small country. Population-wise, we make up less than half a percent of the world’s population. And yet, since Independence, we have played increasingly larger roles in world trade, in global business, and in international social issues. We have seen, over the past five decades, how technology has impacted trade and business, and brought countries and people closer together. To continue to remain a strong, vital nation with a relevant voice and role in the world arena, and to achieve Vision 2020 objectives, Malaysia needs to take steps to improve its economy, human resources, governance and business environment.

We would like to hear from young Malaysians who will be inheriting the country what they think and feel about the issues of global competitiveness, high-income economies and Vision 2020.
