1. What is the deadline for submissions?
   The deadline for submissions is Midnight, 30th September 2010. Work submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
2. How do I submit?
   Essays can be submitted via post to Essay 2010 Secretariat, Perdana Leadership Foundation, No.1 Jalan P8H, Precinct 8, 62250 Putrajaya, Wilayah Persekutuan, via e-mail to essay2010@perdana.org.my., via the dropboxes at MPH outlets, or through our online submission form. We strongly encourage entrants to submit online via the official website. All participants must fill in an official submission form to accompany each essay. If you wish to submit more than one piece of writing, please use a different form for each piece of essay.
3. Who is eligible for the competition?
   The essay competition is open to all Malaysians, students and non-studdents, between the ages of 18 and 25 as of 31st December 2010.
4. I participated in the Foundation’s previous essay contests. Am I allowed to participate?
   Yes, if you are between the ages of 18 and 25 as of 31st December 2010.
5. I am just under 18 or just over 25 – can I still participate?
   If you are between the ages of 18 and 25 as of 31st December 2010, you are eligible. No exceptions will be granted.
6. In which language shall I submit my work?
   The essay can be written in either English or Bahasa Malaysia, though English is strongly encouraged.
7. What is the length and format of the submissions?
   The essay must not exceed 2,000 words, excluding (if applicable) title page, content page, graphs, tables, footnotes, endnotes, bibliography. Essays should be submitted as MS Word documents (.doc) or in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf).
8. Am I allowed to include graphs and tables in my entry?
   Yes, graphs and tables are welcomed where they add value to the textual content. However, their content will not count into the number of words in your essay. Please explain what each graph or table represents.
9. What are the judging criteria for the submissions?
   Your essay will be graded on these criterias:
   • Quality of Research (1/3 of total score)

   • Quality of Analysis (1/3 of total score)

   • Style and Creativity (1/3 of total score)

10. May I mention my name in my submission?
    Your name and other details (including name of institution, home address) must not be anywhere in the essay. The review process is entirely anonymous.
11. Is it okay for for two or more people to work on the same essay?
    No. The submission must be individual work.
